Essential Oils for Better Sleep
Between raising kids, working and maintaining a home, getting enough sleep can be a challenge for many adults. Luckily, there are many essential oils that are beneficial for sleep. It may take some trial and error to find the perfect one for you, but we suggest starting with the ones below.
Bergamot Mint Essential Oil:
Although most citrus oils tend to have a stimulating effect, bergamot mint essential oil is different. Not only is it calming, but it can provide clarity and mood stabilization.
Cedarwood Essential Oil:
Cedarwood oil has a calming effect, therefore promoting a better sleep. It also can help with stress relief and mild acne. Inhale directly from the bottle, or dilute with coconut oil and massage across your forehead.
Cypress Essential Oil:
This essential oil has relaxing properties. Not only does it relieve nervousness and anxiety, but it can even help fight infections and aid the respiratory system. Diffuse cypress oil beside your bed at night to treat restlessness or symptoms of insomnia.
Patchouli Essential Oil:
If you’re overwhelmed with by anxiety, depression or stress, patchouli essential oil will help you get a better night’s sleep by calming those negative feelings. It has a strong and musky scent, so we recommend combining with other oils like bergamot or lemon.
